Sketch a self-portrait, paint an invented character, and build a unique mask. In this class your young artist will be making two and three dimensional portraits using various art materials from paint to paper mâché. Throughout time artist have created portraits to express ideas about themselves, their family and people around them. Students will view traditional portraits, masks from collections around the world and contemporary works as inspiration to create their very own fantastic portraits!
